Photography
Photography equipment is as accessible as ever, but it’s still pretty darn hard to replace a good visually driven creative behind the camera. Editing, strategy and composition don’t come with your iPhone. That’s why you hire a photographer to do that for you.
The phrase “a photo is worth a thousand words” stands true. Whether you’re capturing your product, or looking to just remember a beautiful moment with your loved ones, photography is the base medium from which others arise.
I see photography as storytelling – similar to design – where it’s my job to find the core essence of a thing (an event product or portrait shoot) and figure out what it takes to capture that. It’s looking for moments and having the skill to capture them.
I’ve produced effective deliverables for outdoor events, summer camps, portraits, pets and snow sports athletes. You’ll see my event and outdoor work displayed with the CTU Youth Camp.
I am the photographer for the Buena Vista Public Library, where I document and share library events regularly.
In addition to the work presented here in this portfolio you can find other examples of my work on the Buena Vista Public Library Instagram as well as my own personal Instagram.
