Out Of Podcast

The Of Of Podcast hired me to create B2B pitch decks, manage email marketing, oversee partner web content, develop merch Illustrations, design layout for the 2023 gear guide, and support the growing YouTube channel.

B2B pitch decks

One of my most important roles with Out Of Collective is development and delivery of b2b marketing materials. 

This includes implementation of key analytics and numbers in the pitch deck. It’s my job to find a way to make it look good to the end of selling the podcast to advertisers.

Analytics & Strategy

Tied into this role is processing analytics into these pitch materials. This includes prioritizing key metrics to sponsors. 

Many sponsors get stuck on follower count, but engagement is arguably just as important. When a brand decides to work with OOC It’s important to emphasize that the captive audience isn’t all that is offered. 

I used these analytics to provide strategy input for new videos. OOC prides itself on highly engaging and shareable content and paying attention to analytics is a key aspect of this.

Web Ad Management

Another duty is managing website ads. This includes working with our communications coordinators and keeping the ads on the website as relevant as possible.

Email Marketing

It’s my job to design, proof and send our emails. This drives relevant traffic to our Shopify site as well as promotes partner advertising materials. 

OOC partners can advertise through our newsletter so keeping it clean, up to date and engaging is essential. I pride myself on achieving high open rates and content from OOC.

The email newsletter is used to promote new podcast episodes, merch and video updates. It’s intended to capture our most engaged audience and deliver the best and most direct ROI of any marketing efforts.

Illustrations & Merch

One of my favorite roles with OOC has been that of merch designer. Unfortunately it turns out that as a graphic designer you get to draw pictures a lot less than you thought you would when you were young. Most design is manipulating pre-existing elements simply for the sake of time.

With Out Of Collective I was given the opportunity to develop unique illustrative solutions to be sold as merch. These were done digitally and in my personal style as seen.

YouTube Support

As a graphic designer I worked with the YouTube team to produce cover art for each video. Sometimes multiple covers for AB testing with our audience.

This has been a key element for OOC as we continue to grow our presence in the YouTube landscape.

Layout

For the 2023 Gear Guide I was asked to handle basic layout duties. I worked on a tight deadline to meet the printer due date.

This involved a lot of attention to detail and small copy edits throughout the process. 



The Results

I leverage a variety of skills with Out of Collective. I function primarily BHTS to provide support wherever needs intersect with skills. My work helps to sell the final podcast and develop strategy for the YouTube channel.

I leverage my background in graphic design, layout and photography to help on the media side of things. I used skills from The FIFTY to aid in B2B marketing efforts and BHTS logistical tasks. 

I am happy to have I’m more forward-facing role in terms of my illustrations and designs being used as merch.
