For over 10 years people have been giving me money to bring their creative visions to life and tell their stories.
As a photographer, social media specialist, and graphic designer I use my expertise to deliver the best possible results centered in human storytelling. I work in both the snow sports and environmental non-profit industries where I tie my work to my passion for people and Western landscapes.
As a photographer I bring a photojournalistic ethos that allows me to capture the beautiful things about your time in the human experience.

About
Photography
In my personal life I’m driven by a curiosity for people and their stories. I’m lucky that this curiosity has brought me into wedding and event photography.
I work as a photographer shooting weddings, elopements, And special events all throughout the Central Mountains of Colorado. My home mountains are a generous backdrop to my work. I allow my love of community, story, and people to drive my business as a photographer.
My goal in event photography is to find the best way to visually capture someone’s story. Stories of connection, resilience, and passion are some of my favorite to tell. I’m a photographer, but I see the product that I sell as stories.
With that in mind I prioritize a photojournalistic and candid photography style. I still use artificial light and posing techniques, but the most important element of my photography is helping the viewer feel like they are there In an authentic moment. Lighting, set up, and posing are often important elements of that, but only in so much as they help me achieve the goal of storytelling.
Instead you’ll find that I do research, ask questions, and come up with event game plans to make sure I’m where I need to be to capture the moments you paid me to capture.

Design & Social Media
In my 9 to 5 I work full-time for Western Resource Advocates. As an environmental nonprofit based out of Boulder we work to protect the land, water, and air of the West through decisive state level action. We work with local and state government to build a policy landscape that protects a better, cleaner future for the West.
I work with a 10-person integrated marketing team to see social media and visual strategy executed to the highest effectiveness.
Before my time with WRA I helped Cody Townsend on his prolific 50 project. I provided organic social – Managing the official 50 Project Instagram page to over 130% growth in just 18 months.
Other projects include rebrands for non-profits, graphic collateral, and SEO support for a variety of outdoor and environmental advocacy industry partners.
The clearest through line of all of my work is being blessed to center it on things that I care about. My love of Western landscapes, human stories, and outdoor recreation is prevalent through all my work.

In The Wild
It should come as no surprise that when I’m not working you can find me roaming my home mountains around Buena Vista, Colorado. In the spring and winter you’ll find me high in the peaks of the Gore and Sawatch chasing my favorite ski lines.
In the fall and summer you’ll find me on the river or the mountain bike trails.
I took the name of my studio from this seasonal approach to connecting with the mountains – “Cutts” for the native cutthroat trout in Colorado’s high lakes and “Couloirs” for the steep snow filled gullies I enjoy skiing in the spring.
