Photo Stories
My underlying reason behind being a photographer is my love for stories. I think stories are one of the best parts about being people, photos help us capture those stories.
A family is a collection of stories. Stories we tell our loved ones or that we tell about our loved ones. Ultimately those stories really just bring together the picture of what it’s like to be in your family. Our places and traditions are often captured in our stories.
Trips to the San Juans have been part of my family’s story for as long as I have memories. When my dad passed last year it triggered a deeper acceptance of how much these places mean to me.
When my brother and I took a trip to Silverton, I felt that it would be meaningful to try and do that justice. Enjoy!
